MEET US

Dr. Yu Wang - DDS

Dr. Yu Wang started her dental training in 2001 at the Peking University School of Stomatology and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a doctoral degree in 2009. She also completed Orthodontics and Pediatric residency training. Upon graduating, she practiced and taught at Peking University as a faculty member.

From 2015 to 2016, she carried out research in Preventive Dentistry at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.

To refine her expertise, Dr. Wang enrolled in the University of Michigan School of Dentistry early 2017 and received a DDS degree in April, 2019. She graduated at the top of her class, and received many awards such as Comprehensive Care Award, Academy of Osseointegration Award, and Russell W. Bunting Award in Periodontics.

Dr. Wang has been practicing in Greater Boston since 2019. Her extended study and work experience provides her with a wide variety of clinical knowledge and skills. She is proficient in pediatric and orthodontic treatments, root canal treatments, extractions, and implants, and she is an Invisalign certified doctor.

In her spare time, Dr. Wang enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband, two children, and dog.

Dr. Xiaofei Zhu - DDS, CAGS

Dr. Xiaofei Zhu, DDS, CAGS is an Assistant Professor in Endodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BU). He graduated from the Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology in 2009. Then he worked at his alma mater for 10 years as an Associate Professor.

Dr. Zhu moved to Boston and extended his skills at the BU endodontic residency program. In 2021, Dr. Zhu gained a Certificate for Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics from BU.

He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics since 2022. He was the recipient of the Endodontic Educator Fellowship Award from AAE Foundation in 2024, which honors only one endodontist each year in the U.S. for the dedication in Endodontic education. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Zhu is currently the Director of Research at the BU Endodontic Department and practicing as an endodontist at the Boston University Dental Health Center. He is a consultant for Acing Smiles Family Dental.

Dr. Jinwen Chen - DMD, MS

In 2001, Dr. Jinwen Chen graduated and earned his DMD from the School of Dentistry at Tufts University with honors. He also received the Alumni Award and was on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Since then, he has practiced dentistry for more than twenty years in the Greater Boston area and is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry, but is especially familiar in wisdom tooth extractions and implants. Dr. Chen’s practice philosophy is: to treat all patients the way he would treat family.

Dr. Chen is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Association (MDA).

Dr. Chen loves to spend his spare time with his family and many outdoor activities, especially hiking and pickle ball.

Dr. Yi Zhang - DMD, PhD

Dr. Yi Zhang also has been practicing dentistry since 1982. She received her DDS in the West China University of Medical Science. There, she also received her PhD and Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1990. Dr. Zhang was an assistant professor and clinical instructor at the West China University of Medical Science, Department of Prosthodontics, from 1982 to 1993.

She came to the States to attend the Georgia Health Sciences University, College of Dental Medicine, from 1993 to 1999 as a research fellow.

Afterwards, Dr. Zhang came here, where she has been practicing dentistry for more than twenty years in the Greater Boston area after graduating from Tufts University, School of Dentistry, in 2002 with the Alumni Award: “Clinical Excellence in Restorative Dentistry.” Dr. Zhang is very confident in working with patients of all ages and cares deeply about her patients’ comfort.

Dr. Zhang is an active member of the ADA and the MDA with Dr. Chen. She has been recognized as “Top Doctor and Dentist of Boston” by the Consumer’s Research Council in 2011.

Outside of work, Dr. Zhang hangs out with her family, she enjoys sewing, cooking, hiking and playing pickle ball.
